Novex Assistance

As a Novex Group Insurance personal home customer, you have an extra layer of protection that goes beyond your policy, protection you may not expect (but deserve) from your insurance company.

Novex Assistance is automatically included with every Novex Group Insurance homeowner's policy at no extra charge. The services are there for you when you need them, and will not count as a claim against your insurance policy.

Legal Information Service†
Need an answer to a personal legal question? The Legal Information Service can help. You'll speak directly with a lawyer who in many cases can answer your question right away. The Legal Information Service can answer general questions about:

  • property
  • licences and permits
  • landlord/tenant relations
  • taxation
  • employment
  • inheritances
  • contracts
  • family law
  • social benefits

... whatever your situation may be.

Unfortunately, any serious legal proceedings against you, questions related to your business or occupation and questions about your Novex Group Insurance policy are outside the scope of this program.

The Legal Information Service is a confidential service provided by a third party, offered during regular business hours. Novex Group Insurance only receives general call statistics. Your name, policy number or details about your conversation with the lawyer are not reported to us.

Home Assistance†
If you have a Novex property policy, assistance is here if you need it:

Baby-Sitting Service
You can trust the fully trained and bonded baby-sitters when you need someone to care for your children when:

  • Your child is sick or injured and you must go to work
  • You or your spouse is in the hospital because of sickness, an accident, or childbirth
  • An injury prevents you from looking after your children

If your child is sick, care will be provided for up to 10 hours on each of 3 consecutive days, and you can use this service up to 5 times a year. If you or your spouse is sick or injured, care will be provided for up to 30 hours over 3 consecutive days, including overnight if necessary.

Homemaking/Nursing Service
If you or your spouse has been hospitalized for 2 days or more, we will send a homemaker to help you with light housekeeping and meals when you return home. And, if your doctor recommends it, we will also send a visiting nurse to help your recovery along. The homemaker will assist you for up to 20 hours over 5 consecutive days. Nursing is available for up to 25 hours over 5 consecutive days. It may be just what you need until you get back on your feet or make other arrangements for longer-term assistance.

Housecleaning Service
We will find someone to provide light house cleaning to help you clean up the mess after damage to your home from water, theft or vandalism, even if you don't wish to make an insurance claim. You can receive up to 10 hours of assistance over 5 consecutive days.

Tradesperson Referral
If you need a qualified tradesperson, such as a plumber or electrician, we will be happy to refer someone. If these services are not covered by an insurance claim, you simply pay the tradesperson directly. This is a referral service only, ING Novex cannot guarantee their work. 

We'll do our best!
We will do our best to provide service where you live. The assistance representative will let you know if the service requested is available in your area. Home Assistance may not be available if your home is in a remote location.

The Assistance services described here can be accessed by dialling our toll-free number. All you need is your policy number and your call will be directed to the appropriate representative. ING Novex has contracted an independent assistance provider for these services.
